*Dr. Julian Robotnik - Archie Comics by Elesis-Knight *Dr. Julian Robotnik - Archie Comics by Elesis-Knight
Ow yeah!

Ow yeah! This is the Dr. Julian Robotnik!

Contrary to what most think, Julian is not the same Dr. Ivo Robotnik from the games and Archie Comics! According to the comics, Julian Robotnik died in issue #50 of the magazine Sonic The Hedgehog, during a fight against Sonic, an explosion occurred planned by his nephew, Snively.

After his death, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, known as Eggman, invaded the original dimension of the Sonic, after destroying his own dimension, and thus taking over from Julian.

Okay, so, this is the second critique I have ever done. So, I might be a bit bad.

All-in-all, this is a really good work! My first thoughts were "whoa…this is good!" You have definitely captured the physical…obesity of Robotnik. You have really gotten into the detail(for example, individual fibers, tears in the cape, bumps on the boots, etc.), which is always a good thing to do. Also, I noticed you remembered to only have his LEFT arm roboticized. His overall design looks dirty(literally), which I believe matches up with his environment; polluted, rancid, and industrial. I also noticed your perfection of his eyes, which may be colored correctly, but seem to…project maliciousness as well. Like I said, this is a really good deviation!

Don't stop deviating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, you have really outdone yourself. Again, your impressive art rivals even that of the official SEGA artwork. It is amazing the artistic talents of people in this world. It is very good to know that are people out there who haven't forgotten the old characters and can even bring them to life with incredible artistic skills. Seriously, I am jealous of your talents. The detail on him is amazing. The clothing texture, the holes I the cape, the industrial stains on some parts of his outfit; 'tis all the extra details and effort that really capture who a character is.

Hope you continue to work on your art models and good luck to your future endeavors.

Both versions went by 'Dr Ivo Robotnik'.  They both had the same back-story in their respective dimensions: were both originally named Julian Kintobor of the House of Ivo, both would later on side with the Kingdom of Acorn in the Great War, and would both go on to betray the Kingdom and re-christen himself "Ivo Robotnik" (Kintobor is Robotnik backwards).  However, there would be a divergence in each dimensions events.  One of the Robotniks would roboticize himself, becoming 'RoboRobotnik'.  He would go on to attempt at dominating all of the dimensions but would fall to an army of different Sonics.  His story ended for a time.  Within what Archie Comics refers to as the 'Prime Universe', Robotnik continued on, eventually putting his Endgame into effect: Sally Acorn's "death", Sonic being framed for it, the invasion and capture of Knothole, the activation of Robotnik's greatest weapon 'The Ultimate Annihilator' (sometimes referred to as the Ultimate Nullifier) and a final battle between an enraged Sonic and near triumphant Robotnik.  This would all end with Robotnik's death via the twice sabotaged Ultimate Annihilator (Snively's altering plus Antwain and Bunnies' planted explosive).  The greater story moved on to rebuilding the world and dealing with other threats like Ixis Naugus.  However, under the guise of the original, RoboRobotnik returned.  He would in short order retake Robotropolis and build a new body for himself: the 'Dr. Eggman' Robotnik.  Interestingly, despite how much less (in my opinion) intimidating this version looked to his predecessor, personality and actions wise he was far more insane and evil.  In the years since, much like the games version, he's at time almost a joke villain.

If he was a bit fatter, had a darker-looking mecha-arm, & had a wider teethy grin, you'd have yourself a true Robotnik double!

Thank you for doing this Robotnik some needed justice. I pretty much gave up the Archie Series (though I tend to fave decent artwork from the comics), so it's nice to see people that still remember what Robotnik looked like before Archie Comics adopted the Eggman style.
